Redesign, Rebranding, Heuristic Evaluation, Design Standards
Guide and Information Architecture.
Genco Marketplace wanted to redesign its e-commerce
website in order to better position and brand itself
in the marketplace. Pink Frog gathered
information from the client and stakeholders about
its users, goals and needs and proposed a new concept,
information architecture and a new look and feel. Genco's
current system was forcing users to search on so many
filters the results were coming up empty. Because of
the new understanding of how customers used this site,
a new concept was proposed that allowed customers to
use an inline search that was set by default to the
preferences they selected. When the user logged into
the site they no longer had to search but had the items
they typically searched for showing because the filters
were set to their defaults. Pink
Frog also provided consistency reviews, heuristic evaluations,
design standards guides and interface design.
Because of the success of this project, Pink Frog was
hired throughout five other divisions of the
company and has had repeat business from all helping
Genco redesign their web applications including RLOG,
Genco Visibility, Capital Returns, Genco Marketplace,
NoBetterDeal, Admin PO Tool, and more.
