A site visit was conducted at Kroger's Pharmacy and Central Fill Facility in Ohio in order to observe how pharmacists sent RXs to a central fill facility. New functionality was being added in order to support central fill at a pharmacy. The group followed a perscription from a local pharmacy to a central fill facility and then back to the pharmacy in order to show the workflow and tasks involved in filling a prescription that was sent to a cental fill facility. The site visit allowed the group to write use cases and design interfaces that supported the way that users worked.
